Rusaliite horse riding club is looking for volunteers to lead riding tours, ride-trainthe horses and take part in the daily work. Tasks consist of preparing horses for riding and lead guests for one hour to all day ride (sometimes we have camping sleepover rides); feeding the horses and other animals (deer, alpaca, exotic birds, etc.), train-ride some of the horses and when we have no rides help with all yard duties - cleaning the stable and enclosures. We practice English riding, therefore western riders will not be able to join. Work is 5-6 hours per day, 5 days per week. When we have riding tours you are focused on them and not on cleaning and feeding. We offer free accommodation (single or double room) with wifi, fully equipped kitchen, and use of car for your groceries. Food is not provided but sometimes we share breakfast. In days off you can ride to far destinations and explore the vast Rila National Park. Some evenings we go to hot springs or a bar in the near by resort.

Qualifications / Requirements
Advanced English riding is required to lead the riding tours. Western riders will not be able to join. Experience working with farm animals and birds. Clean and organized individuals that will keep the apartment in good condition. Punctual and serious about work. Own phone with mobile data for orientation during riding (this comes with training). Positive attitude, sense of humor, able to work solo or within a cool team.

The "Centro Equestre Entre Amigos" is located in the Herdade de Montalvo south of Lisbon, between the beach of Comporta and the town of Alcácer do Sal. Under German-Portuguese management, we offer riding lessons, therapeutic riding, rides and tourist riding programs all year round, during school holidays mainly international horse riding holiday camps for kids and teens. From 01.11.25 or later onwards we will have another non-paid internship place available for a young woman aged 18 and over (e.g. high school graduate). We expect help with all work (cleaning boxes and paddocks, feeding / caring for and moving the horses). We offer free board and lodging, as well as riding support.
