Zoraida's Horse Riding is located in the northwest of Crete, between the authentic town of Chania and the modern city of Rethymno. The idyllic village of Georgioupolis is at 4 km away. It is close to the sea, the mountains, and Lake Kournas. Many activities are possible in the tourist area of Georgioupolis-Kavros, which hosts the longest sandy beach in Crete. It is a great place for nature lovers and families, but also a very central place to discover the beauty of Western Crete.

Excursions: Georgioupolis' famous sea chapel, the picturesque harbor, the beach, and the Lake of Kournas are all within walking distance. By car or public bus you can easily visit Argiroupolis' water springs and the cities of Chania and Rethymnon with their charming old towns. Sporty nature lovers can hike the Samaria Gorge, Europe's longest gorge, the Imbros, or the Mili Gorge.Beach fanatics should visit the pink beach of Elafonisi, the blue lagoon of Balos or the cozy beach of Matala with its surrounding hippie holes. For those with an historical interest, there is the Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as Gortys and Eleftherna. Interesting museums include the Naval Museum in Chania, the Folklore Museum in Gavalochori and the Wax Museum in Zoniana.

The easiest way to get to Crete is by plane. The closest airport is located in Chania, which is 45 minutes away by car. The airport of Heraklion is about 1.5 hours away by car.
