The Cumberland Platea in eastern middle Tennessee is home to the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, a 125,00 acre park with over 200 miles of horse trail maintained by the National Park Service.Open year round, and free to the public, Big South Fork is at the top of the list of places to ride in the southeastern United States. With river gorges over 800 feet deep, overlooks that view thousands of acres of wilderness, and miles and miles of trails that traverse the area, it is the premier riding destination in the southeast United States.

Located between US Hwy 127, and US Hwy 27, Big South Fork is actually in 2 states and 5 different counties. Access to Saddle Valley is from TN Hwy 297, Leatherwood Ford Road. From I-40 E/W, take exit #317, US 127 N to Jamestown, then take Hwy 154N about 15 miles to Leatherwood Ford Road, turn right, and go 4.5 miles to Dewey Burks Road, turn left, campground is at the end of Dewey Burks Road

A small cabin in the campsite near the bathhouse, only one room, it has a futon to sit/sleep on, a small table and a few chairs. Small Cabin Rental: $45.00 per night + tax (includes 1 stall, or 2 horses in a paddock.)

Saddle Valley has 25 RV or LQ trailer type sites with electric hookups, many of our sites are 30 amp. We have water hookups and dump station, we also have 5 sites that are a little more primitive and off in the woods, electric available. All the campsites are conveniently located close to the bathhouse. $25.00 per night (4 people) $2.00 each additional person + tax

Campground is "horse friendly". We are horse people for horse people. Feel like you camped in the woods behind your house. Safe, located at the end of a dead end road, but easy access for large rigs.
