The riding stables are situated just 6 miles from Oswestry and Llangollen, on the Wales/England border and on the crossroads of the Ceiriog Trail. From our farm (approximatley 1500 feet high) you overlook the beautiful Ceiriog Valley giving instant access to the best riding country available.
During our trail rides we see the most beautiful places you can imagine!
Our Berwyn Mountain trail leads us along beautiful plateaus and the highest waterfall of England and Wales. And at any time you have the fantastic view on the Berwyn Mountains which we will even cross.
On our Wayfarer Trail we ride over the famous moorland Way Farer route. During the trail you enjoy views on the Berwyn Mountains and the Shropshire hills. We will have nothing but sheep and birds for company!
On our Valley ride we enjoy the unique Welch valles, full of history of slate and granite quarrying. We ride along the last flowing Ceiriog River running trough the villages and harmlets.

Excursions: Springhill Farm offers much more than just horseback riding! Here you will find the perfect experience for any age and interest!On our farm you can rent a bike and discover the beautiful Welsh Valleys and Mountains.
Moreover you can learn how to shoot correctly with an archery. Lead by qualified archery leaders you learn target shooting using the bare bow technique. For those wanting more we can teach the more complex freestyle method as used in most competitive Archery including the Olympics.
For all guests of the Springhill Farm (independent if rider or not) we provide a hot tub! Enjoy a nice relaxation in our outdoor jacuzzi and feel the peace and silence of Wales!
Our team also offers tailored schedules for team building, orienteering and bushcraft.

Fully inclusive and supervised riding holidays, for young people in the 12 to 19 age group. Or if the older ones prefer, but welcome in either holiday. This year we also have a week for 17-22yr olds. Please ask for a brochure.
This holiday is aimed at teenagers who can walk trot and canter happily, with lots of riding and horse involvement..
Riding groups are small ranging from 6 to 12 to ensure maximum enjoyment.
Accommodation is in our comfortable bunkhouse or cottages.
Spend 5 days in the saddle exploring miles of scenic Welsh countryside as well as doing a range of other horsey activities and archery,
a 2 day trail ride and taking part in a finale show?
Please note the trail ride requires riders to be able to canter in open countryside and cope with long hours in the saddle.
This holiday is aimed at teenagers who can walk trot and canter happily, with lots of riding and horse involvement..

Our main instructor is a BHS qualified Intermediate Trainer with many years of training and riding experience. Lessons for raw beginners and for more advanced riders who wish to reach a higher level.

4 star bunkhouse suitable for families, friends, corperate meetings/activity groups and clubs for weekends or longer. Overlooking the beautiful Ceiriog Valley! Dining area, kitchen (self-catering), sitting room. Sleeping up to 22 people in 5 different bedrooms ranging from single occupancy to sleeping 7, including an en-suite family room. 1 bathroom, 3 showers.
2 Holiday flats / apartments :
Two small cottages next to bunkhouse, one with one bedroom and sleeps up to 6 and the other one has two bedrooms and can also sleep up to 6. All bedrooms are en-suite.
