WORK FOR COST AND LOGIS: We are looking for animal-loving horsemen to help us to care for and entertain our horses/donkeys ( cleaning out/ grooming/ground work...) for approx. 4 hours a day (5-6 days/week). Most of our equines come from bad behaviour and have a history of health problems. We want to give them trust in humans again. We work with different strategies, depending on what the horse needs (Natural Horsmanship...). In addition, many other rescue animals (dogs/cats/pigs/goats/rabbits/peacocks/chickens) live on our animal welfare finca and are happy to be petted and given attention. We also regularly have kittens and puppies that we need help looking after. We would be pleased if you would be interested in helping to care for these animals (but this is not a must).

Qualifications / Requirements
Also ideal for horse lovers for whom riding is not the main focus, but who are also interested in ground work and trust work. (Monty Roberts/ Feature Light Horsemanship) Due to the really tricky terrain, rides are only possible with a sound knowledge of riding. Love, empathy and respect for the animal are important to us. Our goal is to improve communication and trust in the horses. Independent work after the introduction period would be an advantage, but we always provide assistance with questions and problems. We are very open to new aspects as long as they benefit our animals.

Description:
Looking for some helping hands for the upcoming summer season in Mykonos. Helping with rides to the beach and general care of horses and preparation for rides. Must be a strong capable rider, able to teach basic riding to beginners and take up to 8 riders per ride on the tour to the beach. Must be friendly, open minded, fast thinking and physically fit. Shared accommodation on site and own car.

Qualifications / Requirements
At least 3 years equine working experience. Knowledgeable and caring of horses. Physically fit. Adaptable and flexible with shifts and working hours. Willing to put effort into providing customer service and friendly conversation with guests. Able to demonstrate basic riding skills in front of a small group (up to 8). Ride and lead. Able to stand up for yourself and be sure of your decisions regarding safety of horses and riders.
