We are a Horse-Ecolodge of the Azores. Located on the sunny north side of the island of Faial, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Atlantic and our neighboring islands. Rockpools at the sea are near of our Ecolodge. Our Ecolodge with space for up to 40 guests offers yoga and relaxation retreats, and with our 30 Lusitano Horses trails in groups from 1 to 9 participants. For the care of the horses and for our daily and weekly trails we are looking for you from April to October 2023. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to your task, the horses and the work at the lodge. Thereafter you will be responsible for leading horse trails, their safety and the customer satisfaction of your riders. You must be willing to take care of the horses in all weather conditions and to give always a helping hand. You take the horses off the pasture and prepare them for the trail. We will provide you with the island's landscape, botanic, culture and history knowledge to share with your guests

Qualifications / Requirements
You have already gained experience as a horse trail guide or you are not afraid to go on tour with your guide horse and other riding guests. You are guest and service oriented and at least 22 years old. You enjoy communicating with other people. You are a team player and can convey security in dealing with horses. First experiences in horse shoeing and an actual 1st aid course are a real plus. Every day you might encounter new challenges. You will take on new responsibilities and your areas of responsibility can develop quickly. You speak another language besides English. You have a driver's license, driving experience and maybe even a trailer driver's license.

Description:
The "Centro Equestre Entre Amigos" is located in the Herdade de Montalvo south of Lisbon, between the beach of Comporta and the town of Alcácer do Sal. Under German-Portuguese management, we offer riding lessons (dressage and jumping), therapeutic riding, rides and tourist riding programs all year round. From 01.04. or later onwards we will have another non-paid internship / horse au pair place available for a young woman aged 18 and over (e.g. high school graduate). We expect help with all work (cleaning boxes and paddocks, feeding / caring for and moving the horses). We offer free board and lodging, as well as riding support.

Are you a positive person, open-minded and passionate about horses? Sociable, hardworking, inquisitive and curious to meet new people and broaden your horizons in Portugal? These are the most important requirements, because our name says it all (Entre Amigos = among friends). Good riding knowledge is desirable. Max. 75 kg.

My partner (Spanish) and myself live in CANDELEDA - Avila on our finca. One of our hobbies are polo horses, we have 8 of them. Outside the polo season, the horses live freely on our finca and we ride in the area in the beautiful surroundings. The beginning of the polo season (amateur in our area) is weather dependent and usually starts slowly towards eastern . During this season the horses stay on another finca (about 15 minutes away from us); here we have polo field, a racetrack and a riding area . We are looking for someone to help train these 8 horses during the week so they are ready for the WE games. This means driving to this polo finca with us, or alone , depending on our activities. (that's why a driving license is necessary). Collect the horses from the grass, saddle them, move them, shower them! Prepare the horses during weekends : saddle , bandaging , etc

Description:
We are a small family business with 20 horses and ponies, from foals to pensioners, including some rescue horses, and are looking for support for training and care. Our horses are worked on the ground, on the lunge, as well as under the rider and in the field, depending on their age and level of training. We attach great importance to treating our animals in a species-appropriate and respectful manner. Our farm is located in the nature park, near the coast and the dune landscape offers countless riding paths that you have to get to know during horse training in order to be able to go on rides with our guests. At the moment our company is in a transition phase and so we are specifically looking for someone who can support us in working with three young horses. It would therefore be an advantage if you already have knowledge of natural horsemanship or other experience with young horses, but that is not the case Condition.

Qualifications / Requirements
You should be at least 18 years old, weigh no more than 65 kg, have experience in dealing with horses and good riding skills, be able to confidently lead rides with guests, enjoy working with horses and not be afraid to lend a hand in any work. Description:
We are a small dressagestable in the south of Tuscany. In a beautiful landscape, 30 min. from the seaside we have got about 20 horses from different races. We need a helping hand for all works around our horses. We offer riding lessons with qualified federal dressage instructors and the possibility to move horses (in base of the riding knowledge). To support our team we are looking for a friendly, open-minded and hard-working young woman (approx. 18-29 years old) who would like to spend a few weeks in Portugal.
