We are a small guesthouse in the heart of Finland with Icelandic horses and sled dogs. We also offer numerous other activities in nature.

Kotila is located in the Kainuu province in the heart of Finland, about 60 kilometers north of Kajaani. Our guesthouse is located on the edge of the Paljakka nature reserve and is surrounded by Finland's endless forests and countless lakes. The forests are inhabited by numerous animal species, such as lynx, moose and beavers. There are also bears and wolves (but these avoid people and are therefore completely harmless ;-) ).

Excursions: Finland's highest waterfall (30 min/car), Finland's oldest spruce forest (a short walk). In addition to our tours that you can book during your stay at Nature Point, there are many other activities to enjoy in every season. In winter you can go snowshoeing, ice fishing, ride your own sleigh with one of our huskies and cross-country skiing on trails that start right next to our property.Traveling by plane:
The pick-up service from Kajaani Airport is included in the tour price. A pick-up from Oulu Airport (180 km) is possible upon request for an additional charge.

We ride on endless sand and gravel paths and small trails through the endless forests and past Finland's countless lakes. If we're lucky, we'll see animals like moose or lynx.More details of the property

Notes and supplements for the Trail Rides / Riding Program
Our riding program includes 4 riding days in summer (1x1h, 3x day ride with lunch), 3 riding days in winter + 1 ride with a dog sled. Summer + winter is one day each "sauna day" at the lake.
Guest lodgings
5 cozy guest rooms for 2-4 people. Horses and huskies are on the farm, directly.

Our rooms are comfortably furnished in Finnish country house style and equipped with a shower room. Some rooms have a gallery for two additional beds.
