The family-run farm holiday and riding centre is located in the Chianti hills. Guests are housed in a traditional Tuscan farm house within easy reach of Florence, Arezzo and Siena.

The seventeenth-century farmhouse has a panoramic view over the Arno valley.

Established way back in 1969, Rendola Riding is a small family-run farm holiday centre in the Chianti hills. While surrounded by unspoilt countryside (vineyards, olive-groves and woodland), it is less than thirty miles from Florence and Siena by car and only three miles from the station of Montevarchi.

Excursions: The cultural cities of Tuscany Florence, Siena and Arezzo are each 40 km away from Rendola, so riding and culture can be combined very well. Many small interesting villages are nearby and the Chianti offers endless dreamlike places.

Arrival

Traveling by car:
Autostrada del Sole (is only 10 min from Rendola) until the motorway at exit No 25 (it is called VALDARNO). Drive towards the centre of Montevarchi, only 2 km away. Follow signs for Mercatale Valdarno, which will lead you westwards out of the town. After a long hill turn right towards the village of Rendola, just half a mile away. There is a sign with a white horse - follow the signs.
Traveling by plane:
Florence airport, Pisa and Rome are very well connected by train. From Florence the train runs 3 times an hour to Montevarchi. The connections from Rome and Pisa are also very good.

Details of the Riding area

On a dense network of dirt roads and roads into the interior of the Chianti, at an altitude of 300 meters on the slopes of the Chianti mountains. In the rut and gallop it goes through vineyards.

Riding lessons on 18 trained horses, English saddles, specially trained riding instructors, the farm is recommended by the Equestrian Federation ANTE.
