Aha Lodge is located in the small pond of Aha, halfway between the North Atlantic and the Baltic Sea, or halfway between Rome and the North Pole. The boundless forests, the mountain landscapes and the wild rivers with their large salmon are very reminiscent of Alaska. And so Lapland is also the Alaska of Europe. The mountain ranges in the west are our Rockies, the Sámi, the last nomads of Europe, are our First Nation, the foliage colouring in September is our Indian Summer, the Kiruna ore mine is our Klondike. So why fly far away when Europe's Alaska is right on your doorstep. OK, there are no grizzlies here, but there are brown bears, moose and thousands of reindeer. The Vindelfjäll Nature Reserve is the largest in Europe and the Vindelälven is one of the last unspoilt rivers on our continent. There is much more to discover here. Traveling by car:
Turn off the "Inlandsvägen" (European route E45) about 5 km south of Sorsele and follow the signs to AHA.
Traveling by plane:
Fly to Stockholm with various airlines. From there, take Populair to Arvidsjaur. Alternatively, fly with SAS or Norwegian to Umeå Airport and then continue by public transport or rental car.

Traveling by train:
In the summertime is an train to Sorsele called Inlandsban. The rest of the year you must travel with swedish railway SJ to Vännäs and than take a connecting bus to Sorsele.

Traveling by boat/ferry:
If you travel with your own car, you can use the overnight feries of Stena Line from Kiel to Gotemburg or Color Line to Oslo.
