|---|---|---|
Located just 3 1/2 hrs. from Vancouver and 1 1/2 hrs. from Kelowna International Airports at the edge of beautiful Okanagan Wine country, Princeton is in a wilderness area in the mountains of southern British Columbia. You'll stay at the Jellicoe, 40 km from Princeton, a town so small it doesn't even have a traffic light, yet still enjoy all the creature comforts. Riding takes place in the pine woods, along lakes, creeks and through wildflower meadows in an area where the next nearest town is 80 km away. The region is rich in First Nations history; the fork of the Tulameen and Similkameen rivers was used for centuries as a meeting place and bountiful summer hunting/fishing/gathering grounds. Settlers came in 150 years ago on the promise of gold and rich cattle ranching. |
