Latin America > Argentina > All Regions > Chicoana, Salta province. 40 km from Salta capital

Chicoana is known as a traditional gaucho town which is still not completely discovered by tourism. This is what gives the town it's welcoming character and flexibility.
The town and surroundings are filled with history as this is where the independence war against the Spanish started, if interested we will tell and show you all about it. The mountains surrounding Chicoana are very impressive and filled with small trails, gaucho huts and amazing views on other mountains, lakes, stars and even Gondor spotting is possible.
Chicoana is located in the south of the Salta province, just 40 km from Salta capital, next to the road to Cachi and Cafayate.
