Indian River Ranch offers pack trips, ranch stays, hiking trips and fishing trips in Northwestern BC, the land of the Northern Lights and endless days

North America > Canada > British Columbia > Atlin

Atlin is in the Northwest corner of British Columbia, just below the Yukon/BC border. It is set on beautiful Atlin Lake, which is about 100 km long. The lake is surrounded by mountains that climb straight up to the sky. There is no way to get to Atlin through BC, you have to drive through the Yukon to get there. Atlin is set in the Northern Cassiar Mountains. The area was once a thriving mining mecca. Now, it is home to about 400 full time residents who want to live a simpler quieter life.
The trails around the Atlin area, are old mining trails, the historic telegraph trail, game trails and native trading routes.
The Northern Lights are quite frequently seen in Atlin, and in the summer you have about 20 hours of daylight each day. It is a magical place.
