The country hotel located near the small town of Abbasanta, about 10 minutes by car. The region is quiet and peaceful and romantic, there are meadows with horses, shep, goats and cows, woods of cork trees, lonely paths, hundred of years old stone walls, you smell the taste flowers and mediterranean herbs, huge paddocks.

If you like to discover the island (apart from the riding excursions), a rental car is recommended. Reaching the sea with a variety of wonderful beaches will take about 35 minutes by car. There is a lot to see and to discover all around this region.

Excursions:


The country hotel is located more or less in the centre of Sardinia, so that every part of the island can be reached easily by car and you can plan a day's trip to visit some tourist attraction and return at the same evening to the hotel without any problems. There is a lot to discover and to see!
The sea at the west coast has several beaches, you can choose a lonely beach or those, where some bars and restaurants offer refreshments to the tourists. There are some nice towns to visit at the west coast, for example Bosa or Alghero. There a the cultural buildings called "nuraghe" and other archeological sites to admire. The huge park of the original Sardian wild horses is about 1,5 hours away ("parco dei cavallini della Giara"). The region is ideal for trekking and walking tours or for visiting cultural places.

Traveling by car:
Renting a car is recommended because the country hotel is a little isolated. If you take the car to travel to Sardinia take the ferry boat from Genova or Livorno to Porto Torres or Olbia, or from Civittavecchia to Cagliari. From there it's about 1,5 hours to reach the country hotel.

Traveling by plane:
There are three airports on Sardinia, you can choose all the airports because the country hotel is more or less in the middle of the island and from all the three airports it takes about 1,5 hours by car to reach the country hotel.
Airport of Alghero (north-west), airport of Olbia (north-east), airport of Cagliari (south).

Traveling by train:
If you take the train, there is a connection from the towns of Alghero (via Sassari), from Olbia and from Cagliari. Choose the rail station of Abbasanta. From Abbasanta you will be picked up and brought to the hotel.
Pickup service is possible

Traveling by boat/ferry:
With the ferry boat starting from Genova or Livorno, you rech the port of Porto Torres or the port of Olbia. You can also start at Civittavecchia and reach at Cagliari.

Sardinia's landcsape is of a rough beauty, with our good-fellowed Sardian horses we pass old shepard paths, see cork trees, vulcanic rock, flowers allover, smell the herbs, reach the sandy beach.

There is a sandy place (20 x 40 metres) for qualified riding lessons (always individual lessons), a big park with grass and oak trees, where lessons can also be held, surrounded by huge paddocks.

There are about 20 Sardian horses, the major part bred and educated on site, beside that two pretty nice dogs, a gray cat and a lot of birds which sing in the park ...

Sardian horses, about 155 cm heigth to the back, very nice, trusting and sure-footed. They are well cared, they are healthy, fit and like to run, but they are well-behaved to the rider.

There are eight wonderful garden suites in the big garden. They have a bedroom with double bed (also as separated beds possible), and a salon, where two additional beds can be put in (ideal for families). Bathroom with hydromassage-shower and hair dryer. Minbar and TV. Terrace with furnitures.
