In the northernmost part of southern Sweden is Värmland. Here, near the small town of Sunne our Horse Adventure Farm is located as our starting point for carriage rides, shortrides, trail rides and several day treks.

Värmland is approximately 18,000 km2 and is certainly one of the most beautiful provinces of Sweden. On one km2 live approximately 17 inhabitants (Germany 230).
In view of such large areas with such low population density, it is not surprising that you can certainly meet moose, wolves and brown bears in the almost untouched natur.

Not only untouched nature with rich wildlife and crystal clear waters is typical for Värmland also some well-known personalities were produced by this region.

Excursions:


Even if you don`t want to spend your holiday on horseback, there are a lot of other opportunities to enjoy nature and to be active: biking or walking, collect mushrooms and berries, observe wildlife such as elk and beaver, canoeing, swimming or fishing in the 200 meters away Rottnenlake.
In the small provincial town of Sunne, there are theaters, museums, restaurants and small shops which invite to stroll. Furthermore, there is an adventure pool with numerous water slides, a flower and sculpture park, Mårbacka known as the birthplace of the famous writer Selma Lagerlöff and numerous other attractions.

Traveling by car:
You drive on road 45 from Karlstad in a northward direction. Turn left, before you reach Sunne, following the signs "Gräsmark" and "Ski Sunne". Follow the road about 5 km. Turn right at the sign "Bråstorp". You drive over a small bridge, after about 600 m you follow the sign "Årås". After 700 m you reach our house on the right side of the road.




Traveling by plane:
Different airlines fly daily to Oslo, Stockholm, Göteborg and Karlstad. From the airports you can take a rental car or the train. In Oslo you can also catch the bus to Charlottenberg. From Charlottenberg and Karlstad we gladly pick you up.

If you travel by train, you get off in Sunne. We meet you at the station.

The riding country is fairly hilly, with plenty of wild animals such as mooses, deers, eagles, beavers... We ride on lonely tracks through the virgin forest along rushing rivers and calm lakes.

Our 100 m² large guest apartment with separate entrance includes four bedrooms with two beds, a full equipped kitchen with 4 ring ceramic hob, oven, coffeemaker, toaster, dishwasher and openfire place, a spacious bathroom, 1 separate toilet and a comfortable lounge with satellite TV and CD player. In the garden we have barbecue and comfortable garden furniture.
