We are located in the sunny Southern Interior of the Province, in British Columbia's historic cowboy country. The diverse terrain includes sagebrush-covered hills, alpine meadows, river canyons and shady forests, and the views over the Thompson River valley are spectacular. Here, ranchers still work their herds from horseback and tumbleweeds roll down the streets on a windy day.

Excursions:


Several interesting sites to see are located close-by: Historic Hat Creek Ranch (a provincial heritage site offering guided tours of an 1860s Roadhouse, First Nations Interpretation Site and stagecoach rides), the Ashcroft Museum (one of the best small-town museums in the province), and the McAbee Fossil Beds, where you learn how to dig for fossils. Several lakes are located close-by for fishing, and the area also offers excellent golfing.

Traveling by car:
About 4 hours by car from Vancouver along Highway 1 through the town of Hope and through the scenic Fraser Canyon. Take the Ashcroft exit onto Highway 97C South and follow the road down into the valley, across the river, through Ashcroft and up the hill toward Logan Lake and Merritt. You will see the Sundance sign on your right about 10 minutes past Ashcroft.

We offer pickup from the Kamloops airport, about 1.5 hours from the ranch. Pickup fee applies.

Two guided trail rides per day in different groups depending on riding experience (novice, intermediate or advanced). Each ride goes out for about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Our horses are all Western trained, mostly Quarter Horses, some Appaloosas, Arabians, Thoroughbreds, and Warmbloods, from very gentle beginner horses to lively horses for advanced riders.

3 wings with cozy, Western-style guest rooms, connected by a covered boardwalk.

>20 Single / double room(s) :
19 standard rooms have a queen-size and a single bed per room, plus a bathroom with tub/shower. Cots are available at no extra charge, and some rooms have connecting doors. 3 larger rooms have a king-size bed, a small fridge, and a coffee maker each. 4 smaller "Kids' Wing" rooms are available for children 14 years and younger, with shared bathrooms.
