Our holidays are perfect for anyone who loves horses.If you are novice riders,we can give lessons followed by a gentle hack out in the surrounding mixed forests.
Breathe in the wonderful smells of eucalyptus trees, olives,cork oaks and mimosas. In the springtime,wild flowers bloom along with gorse,heather,and broom. We pass through lovely villages where time seems to have stood still and in autumn,the air is heavy with the rich aroma of ripe grapes.
For experienced riders,we have some fantastic longer trails with plenty of canters and gallops,stopping for picnics on mountain tops or beside rivers where you can take a swim before lunch.We have a small school and are happy to put up a jump or two,or you can practice some schooling exercises... if you have any energy left after riding out!
We offer approx 15 hours riding out,plus extra in the school if you want to.You are also very welcome to groom and tack up your own horse.
All food is home cooked and meals are eaten on our veranda

Traveling by car:
On booking, we will send you a map.

Traveling by plane:
porto airport is the closest. We run pick up service (120 euros for 2 people return)from Porto and Lisbon. The train service is fantastic and cheap. We will pick up from Coimbra station free of charge

Portuguese trains are on time and cheap. We will pick up from Coimbra free of charge

      Cozy holiday cottage for 2 - 5 persons right next to the riding stables!

      1 Vacation home:
      The holiday cottage is inclusive with full board accomodation and 15 hours of riding. Half board or self catering are available. Please enquire for costs of half board or self catering. The lovely cottage is a restored 2 bedroom stone building in our farmyard and right next to the horses. There is a river suitable for swimming/sun bathing 50 m away.
