Located 75 mi. SW of St. Louis on the scenic Meramec in the ancient rolling Ozark mtns.

Meramec Farm has hay fields, pastures, high rugged woods and vast expanses of country to ride. The surrounding area is rural and beef cattle graze the fields.

Canoeing is a splendid way to see the bluffs and caves of this river valley.
Nearby wineries offer delightful repasts in serene settings.
Springs source the rivers and streams throughout the region and sparkling water abounds.

Excursions:


St. Louis is only one hour from the farm, baseball, museums, the Gateway Arch beside the famous Mississippi River attract visitors.

The amusement park "6-Flags" is a 45 mi. drive from the farm.
Canoes/rafts/kayaks can be rented with a few min. of Meramec Farm and there are 3 streams on which to launch!

Cave tours at Onondaga Cave State Park are beautiful all weather diversions.

Riders of all levels will be paired with well-trained comfortable mounts. The surrounding terrain varies from wide open cattle pastures to high rugged hills, shady woodland trails and back roads.

2 comfortable cabins offer full baths, kitchens, porches, private bedrooms, grills. The spring-fed Meramec adjoins the farm for 1 mile providing opportunities to swim, fish, canoe. Bluff hiking too!

30 horses grace the pastures around the cabins. These include:
Peruvian Pasos, Missouri Fox Trotters, Tenn. Walkers. Hereford and Angus cattle are raised here.
Deer, turkey, eagles are often seen.

Other offers and explanations


1 free night for every week booked. 3,4,5 day riding packages are offered as well as 2 hour and 4 hour trips.
Each day's ride covers new territory. Riders are encouraged to try several horses.

    2 private and comfortable guest cabins available on the farm.

    2 Cabins :
    The larger, Cedar, cabin offers 2 private downstairs bedrooms (Q-sized and 2 twins) Upstairs a double and twin bed, in addition the living area has a daybed and Q futon. Full kitchen w/ utensils, bath with shower, heating /AC, BBQ grill, porch, all linens and towels, paper products, charcoal, coffee, teas, fire ring, picnic table provided.

    The Log cabin faces the Vilander Bluffs-highest on the Meramec. Full kitchen, bath w/ tub, 1 double bed downstairs and 2 singles upstairs. Both cabins have DVD players.
