The southern Peninsula Nicoya is still isolated and unspoiled, with typical peoblos, friendly smiles, colorfull exotic flowers and quaint atmosphaere. Even if it is a bit difficult to travel because there are not so many paved roads it is worth to discover some of the best and secluded areas and beaches of the Costa Rica.
Once a small fishing village, Montezuma is now wellknown as an international tourist destination, fascinating as one of the most alternative and happening places in Costa Rica. As being still a picturesque village – now with international community - surrounded by beatifull landscape and coastline it provides something for every kind of travellers through unique restaurants and shops, great nightlife and spektakular natural beauty. The famous Montezuma Waterfall – a set of three scenic waterfalls - is just a short way out of town. The beaches around Montezuma are mostly uninhabited, palmlined and breathtaking, with rolling surf, white sand and shells.

Traveling by car:
We are located on the southern tip of the Nicoya peninsula 4 km south from Cobano on the way to Montezuma.
If you drive your own car, we recommend 4 wheel drive. Ask us for driving directions from San Jose or Liberia.


Traveling by plane:
Next airport: Tambor
The airport in Tambor is only 20 min. from the Lodge.
Daily flights from San Jose and Liberia with Nature Air and Sansa Air.
Pickup service is possible

Guided tours individually planned with our guests from 2 to 4 hours over farmland, jungle to rivers and waterfalls und kilometers of sandy beaches. Special group offers possible.

Our horses are typical local Criollos, Passofino, Quaterhose, equipped wih light synthetic western saddles. They are strong, sure footed and forward going, perfect for the tropical climate.

Every room has a private bath, hot water, ceiling fans, refrigerator and safe. The superior rooms with breathtaking views to the blue pacific have additional CD Player and coffee maker.

    Our standard rooms are spacious and comfortable and can sleep up to four persons in two double beds. Exotic wood finishes, coral stone floors, and unique grotto style bathrooms make the Garden rooms a welcome haven after a day of adventure.
