Our holidays are based in the northern mountains of Hungary in the Matra National Park. The area is vast and largely covered in forests. The forests are rich in wildlife so deer, wild boar and foxes can be spoted. The terrain is varied with big meadows for great canters and hills with great views. Eger and Gyongyos are both about 30 minutes by car. Kekes the highest peak in Hungary sits above the ranch and a trip to the tower at the top is well worth a visit. Overall the area is peaceful and ideal for relaxation with towns nearby to offer great entertainment opportunities.

Excursions:


Besides riding we offer fishing in nearby lakes, sightseeing trips to Eger a beautiful baroque town, the capital Budapest, Holloko a UNESCO World herritage village and the limestone caves of Aggtelek. We also organise trips to local thermal baths for total relaxation. The area is home to the paloc people and there are a lot of folk singing and dancing festivals. Eger and Gyongyos are both big wine producing areas so wine tasting trips are also available.

The Ranch has a sand school and a large menage next to the stables. We ride out into the surrounding mountains and valleys. Varied terrain, beautiful scenery.

We have 14 horses most of them are Hungarian half-bloods. There is also a pony for children.

    Splendid accommodation above the Cifra Stables, in Cottages and Guest houses!

    2 Holiday Homes:
    The self catering cottage sleeps 4 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. It is situated in small, quiet village 8 minutes drive from the ranch. It has a bedroom with a double bed, a fully equiped kithen diner, a large living room with a corner sofabed and a bathroom with a shower. There is a large garden with a covered terrace, a barbeque and fruit trees. The price is for the whole cottage per week.

    1 Holiday flat / Apartment:
    The Hanga Mountain Guest House sits in its own grounds on top of a hill with breathtaking views all around. It is peaceful and quiet. There are 4 double bedrooms and a two bedroomed apartment. There is a lovely dining room and a communal lounge. Outside there is a terrace with sunbeds.
    Alternative self catering accommodation is also available in a nearby village in a renovated character cottage.

    4 Singe / double room(s) :
    We can now offer a newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment right above the Cifra Stables where we ride from. There are two, twin en suite bedrooms, a kitchenett and a living room on self catering basis. We can also offer accommodation with breakfast and half board in two other guest houses near the stables. Please contact us for further details.
