The Big Creek Lodge is a working Guest Ranch in the heart of the Chilcotin, a remote und untouched area near the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, Canada.

The ranch lies south of the small community of Big Creek, which has a population of approximately 50 people. In all other directions the land is uninhabited and remains as untouched as it was thousands of years ago.

Watch as the busy beaver builds his house or the majestic bald eagle fishes in the surrounding lakes. Our cattle drives and daily ranch work take place in more than 25.000 ha. of untouched range land.

Additional Animals on the property:


The ranch has 30 quarter horses and runs a 100 head of cattle. 3 cattle dogs happily tag along on daily horseback rides to keep one company.

Other offers and explanations


In the evenings you can enjoy the light and warmth of a campfire where all the days adventures can be lived again. We also have a camp where we take packtrips 30km into the mountains. 3 person min.

Normal daily tours are guided. Guided packtrips into the coast mountains. Unguided tours only possible after agreement with head wangler due to remote riding area and changing landscape.

Remote und untouched area near the Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

1 Vacation home:
The lodge, the main building, is constructed in canadian log home style and has 5 large rooms with own bathrooms.

4 Single / Double Room :
The lodge has 4 double rooms and 1 single room. All rooms heated floor heating system. 3 rooms have direct access to balcony.

2 Cabins :
All cabins and most of the rooms in the lodge have balconys or verandas. All rooms and cabins have an official 4 star rating.
