Excursions:Butt sore? Knees hurt? Try one of our other activities ... Swim in the indoor heated pool or soak in the sauna to relax those sore muscles. Our saloon area is popular during happy hour and after dinner for relaxing, having a drink and talking with other guests. There is fishing in our stocked pond for rainbow trout. We prefer catch and release unless you have checked to see if anyone is hungry for fish! Please bring your own fishing gear. Artifact and arrowhead hunting is a very popular activity with many wonderful finds each year. Every era of artifact has been discovered on this ranch - dinosaur bones, tools and weapons from early man to the most recent Indian inhabitants, the Pawnee, Cheyenne and Araphahoe among others. Bird watching is also popular since this area is somewhat famous for raptors. Eagles, hawks, and falcons abound as well as other smaller species. Hiking is great, lots of space and varying terrain from steep canyons to flat rolling prairie. |

Traveling by plane: |
From DIA: Exit the airport and turn right (north) on the C470 toll road. Go north on the toll road and exit on I-76 east to Ft. Morgan. Go north at exit 80 on Hiwy 52 to Hiwy 14 east. Proceed east on Hiwy 14 to Hiwy 71 north and travel 24 miles on Hiwy 71. At county road 132 turn left (west) to county road 141. Turn left (south) over the cattle guard and follow the road in to the homestead. |
