Excursions:Dicover with us the major and minor sights of Southern Rajasthan on horseback. Especially great is the ride from Udaipur up into the Aravalli-Mountains to the medieval fortress of Kumbhalgarh, situated on one of the highest peaks of the region and offering spectacular views. Another highlight is the visit to the Jain temples of Ranakpur, situated in a small hamlet in the middle of the jungle. In order to show our riders the diverse nature of southern Rajasthan with its interesting flora and fauna, our horsback safaris and rides lead through the three major wildlife sanctuaries of this region, Kumbhalgarh, Jaisamand and Sita-Mata. They are the home of most of the animals which can be found in Rajasthan except the tiger. However, leopards, wolves, foxes, hyenas, jackals, deer, gazelle, antelopes and many smaller animals can be found. Rajasthan is also the venue of many colorful festivals, such as the Pushkar Camel Fair, Balotra Cattle Market or Shilpgram Festival in Udaipur. |
