The La Somma riding stables are situated in some of the most spectacular countryside to be found anywhere in Italy.

Set up on a plateau overlooking the mountains and valleys around Spoleto, the scenery is stunning, with varied landscapes ranging from craggy rocks and peaks to soft rolling hills and cool and quiet woodland, home to porcupines, woodpeckers and wild boar.

In spite of its breathtaking setting, La Somma Equestrian Centre is surprisingly accessible, and thanks to low-cost flights, many of our guests are finding that they can visit us for a short break to do some serious riding, eat some memorable meals and recharge their batteries.

The stables is just a 15-minute drive from Spoleto, with its Roman, mediaeval and Renaissance treasures and enticing array of shops and restaurants.
The area is also an excellent base for walking, cycling and even rafting.
